This page explains what happens to your data when you visit codecure.be, in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

The contact form

The contact form does not send anything to us directly. When you press "Send it over", it opens your own email application with a message already drafted from what you typed. CodeCure stores nothing until you choose to send that email yourself. If you close the window instead, nothing has left your device.

Analytics

We use Azure Application Insights, a Microsoft product, to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It is not loaded by default. It only starts if you click "Accept" on the consent banner shown on your first visit; if you click "Decline", or make no choice, it never loads and nothing is sent to Microsoft.

Once accepted, Application Insights collects things like:

  • which pages were viewed, and when
  • the type of browser and device
  • an approximate location derived from your IP address
  • how the page performed technically (load times, errors)

Microsoft's default retention for this data is 90 days, after which it is deleted automatically. We do not use it to build a profile of you individually, and we do not sell or share it with anyone beyond Microsoft's role as our analytics processor.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given (or withheld) through the banner. You can change your mind at any time:

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how it is used. Because analytics only runs after your explicit consent, and we hold no account or profile tied to your identity, there is usually little for us to look up beyond what Microsoft retains on our behalf — but you're welcome to ask.
